BRAND NEW AND COMING TO PORT TALBOT
Musicality Academy are bringing their school to the young people of Port Talbot. A fun and supportive group lead by Emily who has been running the Swansea school for over 12 years!
Musicality is about encouraging young people to grow within a performance based environment. Embracing the totally bonkers and nurturing all abilities to support and build self esteem through singing, dancing and acting. Children will be given opportunities to perform in classes and on professional stages in Wales although if your child doesn’t quite feel ready for the lime light, will still enjoy the fun each class has to offer.
What can you expect from a Musicality Class?
Firstly, and most importantly you will become part of the Musicality family. A friendly face will greet you at reception and a class teacher will continue that approachable nature throughout the sessions until we wave the children goodbye at the end of the day.
We embrace all aspects of the stage and the children will be involved in:
- Singing and singing techniques in groups and solos.
- Basic dancing in a variety of different styles. They will learn basic techniques and phrases used in dance
- Acting in groups and individually. We play theatre based games to encourage confidence, vocal projection, character building, stage awareness and acting techniques i.e. mime, facial expressions and movement.
- We also enjoy letting the children be creative in other ways by offering them the chance to create props and costumes during our sessions which they then use to perform with!
Performing Arts is what we are all about and can’t wait for you to join us!
